About The Program

The Lake Prairie Federation Indian Guides and Princesses program is a parent and child organization in the northern Chicagoland suburbs with hundreds of member families who have children in grades K through 8. With a strong focus on kids, family and fun, the Lake Prairie Federation helps build a strong bond and life-long memories for children and their parents.

You can participate with your child in fun activities centered on our core values: Family, Nature, Community and Fun.

Federation Structure:

  • Nations under our Federation contain individual tribes
  • Indian Guide Nations for boys
  • Indian Princess Nations for girls
  • Each tribe is comprised of parent and child families
  • Trailblazers is open to any child after 4th grade whether they are currently participating with a Tribe or are graduated from the Indian Guides and Princesses Program
  • The Federation Board is a 100% volunteer group, made up of individual parents, supporting the Nations over the program year
