RACE TIME 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm HALEAKALA
GIRLS RACE 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm Denali, Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Voyageurs
SUNDAY, 3/7
TIME EXPEDITION
RACE TIME 9:30 am – 11:00 am ROCKY MOUNTAIN
RACE TIME 11:30 am – 1:00 pm BISCAYNE
RACE TIME 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm ACADIA
GIRLS RACE 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm Mesa Verde, Yellowstone, Yosemite
NOTE: REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO RACE TIME AND ALL CARS MUST BE WEIGHED IN BY RACE TIME TO QUALIFY FOR AWARDS. ANY LATE ENTRIES WILL RACE, BUT WILL NOT CONTEND FOR A POSITION AND AWARDS.
Well in advance of race day, PINEWOOD DERBY CARS ARE AVAILABLE for purchase through Jon Pogue. Please contact him or your chief prior to race day for your cars if you do not yet have an authorized kit.
PINEWOOD DERBY MAXIMUM Weight LIMIT IS - 6.0 oz
Cars over 6.0 oz at check-in will be RETURNED for adjustments and will be allowed to race when adjustments have been made. Please pre-weigh your car in order to limit any delays in your entry.
We suggest that you attempt to weigh your car in advance of the race at a post office or some other location with a digital scale. Digital scales will be provided in the PRE-CHECK-IN area at the event on Race Day for last minute confirmation and adjustments prior to registration, if required. Height and width limits will also be enforced.
IMPORTANT NOTE - AUTHORIZED CAR KIT
All cars MUST BE constructed from kits purchased from the Lake Prairie Federation in order to maintain race consistency. These kits should have been purchased during the Holiday Party or Roller Skating event. In the event that you need cars, please contact Jon Pogue.
THESE ARE THE ONLY AUTHORIZED KITS. CARS constructed from other non-authorized kits will be disqualified from the RACE. PLEASE DO NOT USE non authorized kits from Hobby Lobby, Ace Hardware, etc., as we do not want to disappoint anyone on the day of the event. Race directors closely inspect cars; please use the correct kit.
